Kids Band Practice
Started in January 2019, Kids Band Practice is a core element of Irida. A safe-space for children of all ages to express their musicality. We practice Sri Lankan calypso, baila, modern classics and western songs, and the repertoir is chosen by the students. We invite all instruments into the band, and have a range of instruments available at the practice hall (electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitars, pianos and keyboards, drum sets, latin percussion instruments, vocal and backing vocal) while others bring their own instruments (so far we have clarinets, violins, trombones, barytones and more instruments are always welcome).
